Details for version 2.1 update changes

New main start page

Version 2.1 of the analysis tools added two further VDA-QMC report types VDA6.7 and Field Failure. Additionally it is now possible to create own report types using the provided reports and their evaluation algorithms as base. To avoid an overloaded start page of the application it was redesign to a preselection of the report types you want to use. After selecting the report type tool you will enter into the already known management of the report start page.

You can now use “Ctrl+B” or “Ctrl+S” to create a backup of your data. You can also create and load backup from the main start page or the start page of each report type.

Additional languages

The tool supports now further languages: Chinese, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish

Not all report types are available in all languages VDA6.7 and Field Failure are only available in Englisch, German and Chinese and the application will automatically switch into English when these reports are going to be used with a language not supported.

VDA 6.3 Analysis Tool

The language support was extended b 9 other languages based on the official translations. The evaluation algorithm and evaluation matrix was slightly changed based on an SI.

The change impacts the proper application of the 2/3 of questions have to be answered rule. If 2/3 of a question section are not answered the result will be n.e. and it will be excluded from all calculations like the total level of compliance or any downgrading. The application of 2/3 for the application on question subsection in P6 was changed. Now 2/3 for the total of all question for that subsection multiplicated by the amount of selected processes have to be answered (i.e. 6.1 has 5 questions and the report has 3 processes so the total amount of questions for that subsection is 15 so the min required amount is 10).

As all section are evaluated and selected based on the main section (i.e. P6) it is important that all subsections comply with the 2/3 rule otherwise in consequence the main section and all subsection will be n.e. In the screenshot bellow 6.1 complies with the 2/3 rule but is still n.e. because 6.2 does not comply with it. In the evaluation matrix and in every min/max counter for the application of the 2/3 rule and every level of compliance will be marked in red if it does not comply with the 2/3 rule. Level of compliance where the 2/3 rule is correctly applied though they are set to n.e. because of the above mentioned rule are not marked in red (i.e. 6.1)

VDA 6.7 Analysis Tool

The tool was extended to provide the report and potential analysis of VDA6.7. All functionalities provided with the VDA6.3 report are also available like the creation of notes and later migration to a question or the action plan and the support in the free action plan management app https://actionplan.analysis-tools.de/apAppStart.

Field Failure Analysis

The tool was extended to provide the field failure analysis report. All functionalities provided with the VDA6.3 report are also available like the creation of notes and later migration to a question or the action plan and the support in the free action plan management app https://actionplan.analysis-tools.de/apAppStart.

Own report Tool

As it was not acceptable to change any of the provided standards by VDA-QMC the tool now allows to create own report types based on these standards. The creation of these standards and also the execution of these reports are handled in the own report tool. You have the ability to create own reports based on the provided VDA-QMC standards. Apart from the evaluation algorithm everything is adjustable. For some standards additional downgradings can be added, which will have to be selected manually as it is would require programming to include them into the evaluation algorithm. Questions can be added or removed even question sections and subsection can be added and removed. The examples and requirements can be altered or added.

Once a report is created based on report type alterations on the report type will not take effect. This is important as own report shall be self-contained and an auditor should be able to send the report to a colleague who might not have this own report type. Please complete your report type definition before executing a report based on this report type.
