FAQ 30: Reset IATF CARA when the browser is stuck

IATF CARA is a progressive web app which uses a service worker to download all data in the background and activate it on every restart. This enables the application to be offline available with full access. It might happen that the browser get’s stuck or crashes during this background process and IATF CARA will always start with a warning. It is possible to reset this state without deleting any data in the browser cache. This functionality is available for Edge and Chrome

open “chrome://serviceworker-internals/” in the web address entry of the browser
you will receive a list with different service worker and you want the cara.iatfglobaoversight.org
Click on “Unregister” and close the browser

open “edge://serviceworker-internals/” in the web address entry of the browser
