FAQ: How can I add questions, such as Customer Specific Requirements?

The Analysis tools allows you to add customer specific requirements and downgradings for the VDA 6.3 report. You can access this functionality within your report type clicking on “Manage Requirements and Downgrades”.

The requirements and downgradings can be added in different languages by default the language you are using is selected. The requirements are directly available.

Requirements and Examples

If you want to see the requirements which are not shown by default you can select “Show minimum requirements and examples” in the questions section.

Downgradings

You can use the plus-Button to add downgradings. For each downgrading you have to define the rule and the downgrading options which can occur. By default you can always choose between A,B,C. Additional you can also only have options A,B or A,C.

Because the downgrading rules extend the VDA6.3 standard you will have to activate them if you wan’t to use them in the report and take effect.

After activation the downgrading rules are added to the report and won’t be changed anymore even if you change the downgrading rule set afterwards. If you deactivate the downgrading all information is lost and reactivation the downgrading rules are imported again any you have to set values again. This allows you to make sure that downgrading rules on old reports won’t be changed and that even colleges who do not have your downgrading rules will see them.

On activation of the downgrading the actual state of downgrading rules is inherited to the report and not changed anymore
