IATF TR CARA Version to import Database Entry Sheet information into IATF DB

IATF TR CARA Version to import Database Entry Sheet information into IATF DB

The IATF CARA TR Version is designed to enable the Technical Reviewer (TR) of a CB to start a semi automated transfer of IATF CARA data to the IATF Database. The transferred data is equivalent to the data created in the Database entry sheet (DBE). This article describes the necessary steps for a TR to import a CARA JSON file (created by a CBs auditor) and transfer the relevant IATF CARA data to the IATF Database. Instructions for the IATF Database can be found in the IATF Database Manual IATF Online Manual under Section IATF CARA - Database Import.

Layout and menu is designed similar to other CARA applications for an easier orientation. For basic function of CARA please refer to https://infosysc.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BICWG. By default the headline of the tool will show which application you are using. You can though use “Change header and menu color to blue” in settings to add an additional help for recognition.

The following steps have to be performed from a Technical Reviewer to send the CARA JSON data to the IATF DB.
Note: Only active ADP user with the status

will be able to access to IATF CARA TR Version!

1.) As a TR when you open TR-CARA with https://tr-cara.iatfglobaloversight.org. Like in CARA you will be asked for the license on the TR start page.

Further information can be found at: Serial and ADP-single sign on activation https://infosysc.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BwBVYg

Note:
Due to data privacy concerns the exchange process between auditor and technical reviewer is not part of the application. You can use any approved process of your CB.
The technical reviewer is only allowed to enter their decision and can’t make any other edits to the report content. All changes to the CARA report can only be done by the auditor. If changes are required the auditor has to be informed and the data has to be sent corrected to the technical reviewer.

2.) Import CARA JSON data file (which shall be uploaded to the IATF DB)
On the start page you’ll find the “Load Report/Backup” button. After you click on it you can select the file sent by the auditor.

3.) After loading, the file was added into your report list. You will get a confirmation. You can use the report list for the report type or the all report list. Use the edit icon to open it (

)

4.)After loading you will notice that all fields are greyed out and not editable. Check all sections until you will reach the section “Results”. If you identify any issues inform the auditor to change the relevant fields. In all reports on the results page you will find your confirmation section. The name was already entered based on the license.

Enter the date of the Technical Review decision. The relevant field will have a red border. Only then the button “Send relevant data to IATF Database” will be enabled (black).

By clicking the button the relevant CARA data (only the data which would be entered in the IATF database nothing more) is send to the IATF Database including the TR Name and the date of TR decision.

Once the transfer is complete, an information window will appear:

and has to be confirmed with OK. This means that the import to the IATF DB was successful and a new CARA Alert was created for further action in the IATF DB.

This is the end of the import process for the Technical reviewer.
However the following options are still possible:

to proceed to the next steps (e.g., Rules 6th 5.12 Technical review and certification decision).
